A heart-wrenching incident has shaken Dahod district, where a 28-year-old woman, identified as Jayshriben Sangada, ended her life along with her two young sons by jumping in front of a moving goods train. The incident took place near Limkheda railway station on Saturday morning around 11 am. According to police, all three died on the spot after coming under the speeding train.
Mother’s Painful End With Her Children
As per reports, Jayshriben, a resident of Patvan village in Limkheda taluka, had left home in the morning, telling her family that she was taking her children to school. Instead, she went to the Limkheda railway station with her sons and jumped onto the tracks in front of a Mumbai-bound goods train coming from Dahod side. The speed of the train was so high that all three were killed instantly, creating a horrifying scene that left locals in shock.
Family Alleges Harassment by In-Laws
The victim’s relatives alleged that for the past ten years, Jayshriben had been suffering from continuous harassment and torture by her husband and in-laws. They claim that her in-laws had turned her life into a “living hell” and that she had endured both physical and mental abuse for the sake of her children. This unbearable harassment reportedly pushed her to take the extreme step of ending her life along with her two innocent sons.

Father’s Statement: “In-Laws Made Her Life Hell”
The victim’s father, Ratan Singh, broke down while speaking to reporters. He alleged that, “I worked hard as a laborer to educate my daughter up to B.Ed. But after marriage, her in-laws turned her life into hell. We even tried to get her separated through the community council, but for the sake of her children’s future, she refused. Just two days ago, she had visited us and said that her husband and mother-in-law had beaten her. We took her to the hospital, treated her, and sent her back. And today, we got this tragic news. The torture by her husband and in-laws is the only reason she took this drastic step. Police must take strict action against them.”
Mother’s Statement: “She Endured Harassment for Her Sons”
The victim’s mother, Dhaniben, also leveled serious allegations. She said, “My daughter was married ten years ago to Bharat Sangada. Since then, she was tortured physically and mentally by her husband, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. She came to her parental home many times to complain, and we even lodged a case at Dahod women’s police station. The case went on for two years, but the community council forced her to return. For the sake of her sons, she endured all the pain. But finally, she gave up and ended her life. Her husband and in-laws are directly responsible for this tragedy, and they must face strict punishment.”

Railway police have started an in-depth investigation. Based on the complaint of the victim’s family, evidence from the spot has been collected. Officials stated that the allegations made by the family will be thoroughly investigated, and further legal action will be taken once facts are established.
