In a major crackdown, Bhavnagar Police exposed a prostitution racket that was allegedly operating under the guise of spa centres on Waghawadi Road. Acting on a tip-off, police teams raided three spa centres — Iconic Spa, Ocean Spa, and Aveda Spa — located in Eva Surabhi Complex, where foreign women were reportedly being brought in and exploited for sex trade.
Raid Conducted at Three Spa Centres on Waghawadi Road
According to Bhavnagar News Today, the operation was carried out jointly by multiple police units. The Nilambag Police raided the Iconic Spa on the fourth floor, while the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) targeted Ocean Spa on the first floor. Simultaneously, the Ghoghra Road Police conducted a raid at Aveda Spa located in the same complex.
During the raids, police found strong evidence of prostitution activities. Several women, including foreign nationals, were rescued, and the customers present at the scene were also freed. The police detained the spa managers and operators involved in the illegal trade for further investigation.
8 People Arrested, Including a Female Manager
Police Inspector Chaudhary confirmed that all three spa centres were operating from the same building and were being used for illegal sex work. The arrested individuals include Vijay Bhatti, Vishal Solanki, Ghaval Parmar, Rampratap Jat, Prakash Chauhan, Annu Chaudhary, Shanereja Bhojani, and a female manager.
Authorities revealed that these spa centres were luring women from outside Bhavnagar and forcing them into the flesh trade. The rescued women and customers have been released, while the arrested suspects are being questioned under relevant sections of the law.

Police Used Dummy Customers to Expose the Racket
In a well-planned move, the Bhavnagar Police deployed dummy customers to verify the illegal activities before conducting the raid. The undercover agents were reportedly offered sexual services in exchange for money, confirming the ongoing prostitution racket.
The police have now launched a deeper investigation to trace the network and identify others involved in this operation. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken against all individuals responsible for running these illegal activities under the cover of spa businesses.
