Spiritual Visit to Srisailam Temple
According to the official schedule, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Srisailam, Nandyal district, around 11:15 a.m. to offer prayers at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam—one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and 52 Shakti Peethas in India. This sacred temple is unique as it houses both a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peetha within the same complex, symbolizing divine unity and heritage.
After performing rituals and darshan, the Prime Minister will visit the Shri Shivaji Sphoorti Kendra around 12:15 p.m., a memorial complex celebrating the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Exploring the Legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
The Shivaji Sphoorti Kendra at Srisailam is designed to honor the valor and vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who visited this holy site in 1677. The center includes a meditation hall (Dhyan Mandir) surrounded by models of four iconic forts — Pratapgarh, Rajgarh, Raigad, and Shivneri. At its heart stands a grand statue of Shivaji Maharaj in deep meditation, representing his devotion, discipline, and leadership. The memorial is managed by the Shri Shivaji Memorial Committee, established to commemorate his historical pilgrimage.

These initiatives span across vital sectors such as industry, power transmission, roads, railways, defense manufacturing, and petroleum & natural gas.
The projects are expected to strengthen regional infrastructure, accelerate industrial growth, and foster inclusive socio-economic development across Andhra Pradesh.
Key Highlights of the ₹13,430 Crore Development Projects
1. Power Transmission Enhancement Project – ₹2,880 Crore
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Power Transmission Strengthening Project at Kurnool-III Pooling Station, worth over ₹2,880 crore.
This includes the construction of a 765 kV double-circuit Kurnool-III Pooling Station–Chilakaluripeta transmission line, adding 6,000 MVA of transformation capacity. The project will significantly enhance the flow of renewable energy, supporting India’s goal of achieving large-scale green energy transmission for sustainable growth.
2. Industrial Development in Rayalaseema – ₹4,920 Crore Investment
The Prime Minister will also launch the Orvakal Industrial Area (Kurnool) and Kopparthy Industrial Area (Kadapa), with a combined investment exceeding ₹4,920 crore.
Developed jointly by the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC), these multi-sector industrial hubs are designed with plug-and-play infrastructure and the walk-to-work concept.
These hubs are expected to attract investments of around ₹21,000 crore and generate over 100,000 jobs, positioning Rayalaseema as a new industrial powerhouse in South India.
3. Road Infrastructure Expansion – ₹960 Crore
In a major step toward improving connectivity, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for a six-lane greenfield highway between Sabbavaram and Sheelanagar, built at a cost of ₹960 crore.
This road will ease congestion in Visakhapatnam, improve trade logistics, and open up new employment opportunities.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate six more road projects worth about ₹1,140 crore, including:
- Four-laning of the Pileru–Kalur section

- Upgradation of the Kaongi–Ongi 1 river section on NH-565
- Bypass improvement near N. Gundlapalli town on NH-544DD
These initiatives will enhance road safety, reduce travel time, and strengthen regional connectivity throughout Andhra Pradesh.
4. Railway Modernization – ₹1,200 Crore
PM Modi will inaugurate and dedicate multiple railway projects worth more than ₹1,200 crore.
These include:
- Foundation stone for the Kottavalasa–Vizianagaram fourth railway line
- Rail flyover between Pendurthi and Simhachalam North
- Doubling of the Kottavalasa–Boddavara section and Shimiliguda–Gorapur section
The projects aim to decongest railway traffic, enable faster and safer travel, and boost freight movement, thereby stimulating industrial development in the region.
