Nandurbar: A heartbreaking road accident occurred today in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, claiming the lives of eight people and leaving several others seriously injured. The tragic incident took place near the Chandshali Ghat area, where a pickup vehicle carrying devotees lost control and plunged into a deep gorge.
Fatal Road Accident in Nandurbar
According to Nandurbar Police, the pickup truck was returning from a religious pilgrimage when the driver reportedly lost control while navigating a steep curve on the Chandshali Ghat road. The vehicle overturned multiple times before falling into the valley, resulting in the instant death of several passengers.
Officials confirmed that eight people died on the spot, while eight others sustained severe injuries. Rescue teams, along with local residents, rushed to the scene to help the victims. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as extremely distressing. Several passengers were trapped under the overturned vehicle, and some bodies were scattered on the road. Police and rescue personnel faced challenges in retrieving the victims due to the steep terrain of the ghat.
