Surat, known as the city of generosity, has once again set an inspiring example of compassion and care. The Amrutam Foundation in Surat organized a Mother’s Milk Donation Ca, where mothers of children up to two years old participated by donating their milk for the welfare of other infants.

During the camp, 82 milk units were successfully collected. The event was graced by Kunj Pansari, President of Amrutam Foundation, Sandhya Gehlot, wife of Surat Police Commissioner, and fashion designer Tina Ranka. The initiative drew praise from the community for promoting awareness about the importance of breast milk donation.

Addressing the gathering, Sandhya Gehlot said, “Mother’s milk is like Amrit. It is nature’s perfect nourishment for a child. Mothers should avoid feeding babies artificial milk or powder milk when they can offer their own, as it helps the baby grow healthier and stronger.”

Amrutam Foundation’s president Kunj Pansari shared that this was their 32nd milk donation camp. He added, “Mother’s milk donation is the purest and most selfless form of giving. People often donate blood or money, but donating milk is a gift that supports life itself.”

Pansari further explained that the collected milk undergoes laboratory testing and freezing to ensure its safety and quality. Later, it is donated to mothers who are unable to produce enough milk, ensuring that their babies do not face developmental challenges due to lack of nourishment.

He also mentioned that this noble initiative has been ongoing for the past 17 years, helping countless infants receive the life-sustaining benefits of mother’s milk.

The Mother’s Milk Donation Camp once again highlighted the power of kindness and humanity in Surat — proving that small acts of care can bring life-changing support to those in need.
