Seva Sankalp Abhiyan: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17, 2026, to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life. The campaign will focus on highlighting his journey of public service, dedication and nation-building, with a series of public welfare and service-oriented programmes planned across Gujarat and other parts of the country.
The campaign will begin on September 17, 2026, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, and will continue until October 17. During this period, the BJP plans to organise a range of activities aimed at public welfare, social service and community participation.
In Gujarat, details of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan were shared by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and BJP Gujarat president Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma. Both leaders highlighted the significance of Prime Minister Modi’s 25-year public service journey and outlined several programmes that will be conducted during the month.
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to Include Several Public Service Programmes
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that Gujarat will actively participate in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan between September 17 and October 17. According to him, the month-long campaign will celebrate 25 years of Prime Minister Modi’s public service journey through various programmes and initiatives.
He said that Prime Minister Modi had remained dedicated to public service throughout these 25 years and had worked continuously for the development of the country. Referring to the government’s welfare initiatives, Patel said that under Modi’s leadership, 25 crore people had moved out of poverty.
As part of the campaign, Seva Diwas blood donation camps will be organised on September 17. On the opening day, people will also participate in the ‘Asha Ka Diya’ initiative by lighting lamps as a symbol of hope.
Another major programme, the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra, is scheduled for October 7. The initiative will form part of the wider activities planned under the month-long campaign.
Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma Highlights Modi’s Development Journey
BJP Gujarat president Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan would run for one month to commemorate 25 years of Prime Minister Modi’s public service journey.
Vishwakarma recalled that Narendra Modi took charge of Gujarat in 2001 and said the state witnessed significant development during his tenure. He further highlighted several welfare and development initiatives undertaken under Modi’s leadership at the national level.
According to Vishwakarma, around 43 crore people have received health security coverage, while more than four crore people have been provided permanent houses. He said the country has made rapid progress under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and continues to move forward on the path of development.
‘Asha Ka Diya’ and Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra Among Key Initiatives
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 will feature several service-oriented activities designed to encourage public participation. Along with blood donation camps and the ‘Asha Ka Diya’ initiative, programmes such as the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra will also be organised.
The campaign will additionally include a Vadnagar to Varanasi Seva Yatra, connecting two places associated with Prime Minister Modi’s public and personal journey. The BJP plans to use the month-long programme to showcase various welfare and public service initiatives while commemorating 25 years of Modi’s journey in public life.
With activities scheduled from September 17 to October 17, 2026, the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is expected to bring together party workers, supporters and members of the public through a series of social service and public welfare programmes across Gujarat and the country.
