Bihar Election 2025

The Bihar Election 2025 is fast approaching, and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has officially announced the seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming assembly polls. In a well-coordinated and amicable decision, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) [JDU)] will each contest 101 seats, while other allies also received their share of constituencies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the BJP headquarters in Patna to participate in the NDA’s chief election committee (CEC) meeting, underscoring the importance of a unified strategy ahead of the Bihar polls.

NDA Seat Distribution for Bihar Election 2025

The NDA seat-sharing plan reflects a balanced approach among its key constituents. The breakdown is as follows:

  • BJP: 101 seats
  • JD(U): 101 seats
  • Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas): 29 seats
  • Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RaloMo): 6 seats
  • Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM): 6 seats

BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the distribution, highlighting the cooperative spirit within the NDA. He stated, “The seat-sharing process has been completed in a harmonious environment with mutual consensus. NDA leaders and workers have welcomed this decision enthusiastically. All allies are ready to work together to form the NDA government again in Bihar.”

BJP and JDU Lead the Charge

With 101 seats each, BJP and JDU are positioned as the primary contenders in the Bihar assembly elections. Both parties are focusing on consolidating their voter base while ensuring that NDA allies are actively involved in campaign strategies.

Prime Minister Modi’s presence at the CEC meeting signifies BJP’s commitment to Bihar Election 2025. Leaders emphasized the importance of unity, coordinated campaigning, and a voter-centric approach to secure a decisive mandate.

LJP (Ram Vilas) Response

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), led by Chirag Paswan, welcomed the seat-sharing agreement with optimism. Paswan said, “The NDA family has completed the seat-sharing for Bihar Assembly Election 2025 in a friendly and cooperative manner. Bihar is ready for the NDA government once again. This time, we are fully committed with the motto ‘Bihar First – Bihari First.’”

LJP’s 29-seat allocation will allow the party to target key constituencies where they have historically performed well. Paswan stressed that the alliance will work together to strengthen NDA’s presence across the state.

HAM’s Perspective on Seat Allocation

The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) received six seats in the NDA arrangement. Party chief and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi responded positively to the allocation, saying, “Previously, we had only one parliamentary seat, and even then we did not express any dissatisfaction. Now, if we have received six seats in Bihar Election 2025, it is the high command’s decision, and we accept it. We are satisfied with what we have been given and have no complaints against anyone.”

HAM’s acceptance of the seat distribution underscores a spirit of cooperation among NDA allies, ensuring smooth coordination during campaign planning and election mobilization.
