Ekta Nagar, Gujarat (India): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ekta Nagar (Kevadia) on October 30–31, 2025, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. During his two-day stay, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects worth over ₹800 crore, adding 16 new attractions and facilities to the Statue of Unity region — one of India’s most iconic tourist destinations.

₹282.52 Crore Projects Ready for Inauguration

The inaugurated facilities will include:
- Walkway (Phase 2): Connecting Ekta Dwar to the Narmada Mata statue for a seamless pedestrian experience.

- Projection Wall and Land Leveling near the Weir Dam: A scenic enhancement offering a panoramic view of the landscape.
- Satpura Protection Wall (near Cactus Garden): Strengthening the area’s ecological protection.
- Bonsai Garden: A unique botanical addition showcasing miniature trees and plants.
- E-Bus Charging Stations: Promoting green transportation across the Ekta Nagar campus.

Foundation Stone for ₹681.55 Crore Projects to Be Laid

1. Royal Kingdom of India Museum – ₹367.25 Crore
One of the most ambitious projects is the Royal Kingdom of India Museum, set to be completed by May 2027 at an estimated cost of ₹367.25 crore.
This museum will celebrate India’s royal heritage and the role of various kingdoms in uniting the nation. Visitors will explore interactive galleries and historical exhibits showcasing the valor and vision of India’s great rulers who contributed to the idea of a unified India.
2. Veer Bal Udyan – ₹9 Crore
Another significant attraction will be the Veer Bal Udyan, a unique park dedicated to India’s legendary child heroes and mythological warriors. Built at a cost of ₹9 crore, it will cover an area of 52,000 square meters and is expected to be completed by March 2026. The park will feature storytelling zones, sculptures, and forest-like terrain symbolizing courage and sacrifice.
3. Gujarat Vandana Museum
A Gujarat Vandana Museum will also be developed to highlight the state’s cultural legacy, architecture, crafts, and contributions to India’s freedom and unity. This museum will become a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts.
4. Visitor Centre – ₹100 Crore
To accommodate the growing number of domestic and international tourists, a modern Visitor Centre will be constructed at a cost of ₹100 crore. It will offer information kiosks, lounges, food courts, and multimedia facilities, ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors.
5. Sports Complex – ₹20 Crore
Ekta Nagar will soon host a state-of-the-art Sports Complex, costing ₹20 crore, to promote recreational and professional sports. The complex will include indoor and outdoor facilities such as cricket nets, volleyball courts, table tennis zones, swimming pools, and fitness areas. It will be completed within a year and include escalators, elevators, and a visitors’ lounge for convenience.
6. CISF Barracks
To strengthen the security infrastructure, a new CISF Barrack will be built to house security personnel posted in the Statue of Unity zone. This project will be completed within a year and ensure better living conditions for the stationed forces.
7. Rain Forest Project – ₹9.41 Crore
One of the most fascinating upcoming attractions is the Rain Forest Project near Gate No. 2. Spanning 47,000 square meters, this attraction will recreate the magic of tropical rainforests with artificial waterfalls, rain guns, walk bridges, cafes, and nature trails. Built at a cost of ₹9.41 crore, it aims to merge ecological awareness with immersive entertainment.

Infrastructure and Connectivity Improvements
New Road from Sahkar Bhavan to Police Station
A brand-new 24-meter-wide and 1.7 km-long road will be constructed from Sahkar Bhavan to the Ekta Nagar Police Station. The road will include benches, landscaped medians, fencing, lighting poles, and walkways, ensuring safety and comfort for pedestrians and motorists.
Travellators and Canopies for Visitors
For the convenience of tourists, travellators (moving walkways) and canopies will be installed between Gate No. 5 and Gate No. 2, protecting visitors from the heat and rain. This infrastructure upgrade will significantly improve the visitor experience during peak tourist seasons.
New Administrative Building and Parking Facilities
A new administrative complex and expanded parking area will be developed to manage tourism operations efficiently. These facilities will help streamline ticketing, security, and logistics, ensuring smoother crowd management during festivals and high-traffic weekends.
