Sara Tendulkar Slams Paparazzi Account Over Body-Shaming Remarks: “This Is Not Journalism”

Indian social media personality Sara Tendulkar has strongly criticized a paparazzi account after an airport video featuring her and a family member sparked controversy online. The incident began after a reel circulating on social media allegedly included offensive captions and body-shaming remarks directed at Sara Tendulkar and Sania Chandok.

The video, reportedly filmed at a Mumbai airport, showed Sara Tendulkar arriving at the terminal alongside Sania Chandok. While the clip itself appeared routine, the accompanying caption posted by a paparazzi account drew widespread criticism from social media users, many of whom described the comments as inappropriate and disrespectful.

Sara Tendulkar Responds Publicly on Instagram

Reacting to the viral post, Sara Tendulkar shared a screenshot of the video on her Instagram Story and openly expressed her anger over the nature of the comments. In her statement, she directly addressed the paparazzi account and condemned the content shared online.

“You are disgusting. This is not journalism. Leave us alone,” she wrote in the story, calling out what she described as invasive and unacceptable behavior.

She also added that deleting the post would not erase the harm caused by the comments. According to several social media users, the paparazzi account later removed the original upload after the backlash intensified online.

The controversy quickly gained traction across platforms, with many people supporting Sara Tendulkar for speaking against online harassment and body-shaming culture. Several users pointed out that public figures, especially women, are often subjected to unnecessary scrutiny about their appearance, clothing, and personal lives.

Debate Around Privacy and Online Conduct

The incident has once again triggered discussions about the boundaries between celebrity coverage and personal privacy. While paparazzi culture remains a major part of entertainment reporting, critics argue that certain online content crosses ethical limits when it turns into mockery, harassment, or body-shaming.

Many users on social media praised Sara Tendulkar for addressing the issue directly rather than remaining silent. Supporters said her response highlighted the importance of respecting personal boundaries, regardless of whether someone belongs to a famous family or regularly appears in public.

Public conversations around digital harassment and toxic commentary have become increasingly common in recent years, especially as viral reels and short-form content dominate online engagement. Experts and mental health advocates have repeatedly stressed the impact such comments can have on individuals, even those used to public attention.
