The museum will house five galleries, four permanent and one temporary. The design covers a total area of 3,077 square meters.
1. Gallery on Princely States
This section will detail the origins, classifications, and important features of India’s princely states. Visitors will learn how these kingdoms shaped the political and cultural landscape of the subcontinent.
2. Life of Kings and Their Traditions
The second gallery will focus on royal lifestyles, governance systems, military traditions, and the architectural and cultural wealth of the different kingdoms.
3. India’s Integration and Sardar Patel’s Leadership
This area will document the British empire’s influence, the decline of princely powers, and how Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel led the historic integration of more than 560 princely states into one nation.
4. Stories of Sacrifice and Contributions
The fourth gallery will highlight the sacrifices made by various rulers and families during India’s freedom movement and unification era. Visitors will also find details about the people and groups who contributed to building the museum.
5. Children’s Gallery
The fifth gallery—connected to the reception area—will be a dedicated space for children. It will offer engaging displays, interactive learning tools, a museum café, and a souvenir shop.
250 Years of History Under One Roof
The museum will showcase history from 1700 to 1950, covering the rise and fall of royal families, their administrative systems, and their relationships with the British.
One unique feature will be the digital presentation of original documents submitted by princely states during the unification process. Along with digital archives, the museum will display rare physical objects contributed by the royal families themselves.
Project Timeline and Cost
The Royal Kingdom Museum is estimated to cost ₹367 crore, and the project is scheduled for completion by September 2027.

2. Veer Bal Udyan Museum (₹9 crore)
