Rajkot, India – President Droupadi Murmu Arrives in Rajkot: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Rajkot on Thursday, marking the beginning of her three-day visit to Gujarat. The President received a warm welcome upon her arrival at Rajkot International Airport, and later proceeded by road to the Circuit House, where she will stay overnight. Tight security arrangements have been made around the Circuit House and nearby areas for her stay.

According to official sources, President Droupadi Murmu’s Gujarat visit includes important stops at Rajkot, Somnath, Sasan Gir, Dwarka, and Ahmedabad. She will spend Thursday night in Rajkot, Friday in Sasan Gir, and then proceed to Dwarka on Saturday before concluding her visit in Ahmedabad.

Upon her arrival in Rajkot from Delhi, strict police security has been deployed in and around the Circuit House. Regular traffic movement on the roads near the venue has been restricted to ensure the safety and smooth movement of the presidential convoy.

Traffic restrictions and drone no-fly zone declared in Rajkot

In view of the President’s stay, Rajkot Police Commissioner has announced a “no-fly zone” for drones in the city from October 8 to October 10. This restriction has been enforced around the Circuit House area to maintain full security.

After her overnight stay, President Murmu is scheduled to leave Rajkot around 10:30 a.m. on October 10, heading to the Rajkot International Airport in Hirasar. From there, she will take a helicopter to Somnath to participate in the 12 noon aarti (prayer ceremony) and perform rituals at the historic Somnath Temple.

Following the temple visit, the President will depart by helicopter around 3 p.m. for Sasan Gir, home to the famous Asiatic lions. On arrival, she will embark on a jungle safari, experiencing Gujarat’s rich wildlife and biodiversity firsthand.

After completing her safari, President Murmu will spend about half an hour interacting with the local tribal communities of Gir. During this interaction, she will learn more about their traditions, lifestyle, and cultural heritage. The President will stay overnight in Sasan.

Dwarka visit and participation in Gujarat Vidyapith convocation

On October 11, President Droupadi Murmu will leave Sasan for Dwarka, one of the four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites known as Char Dham. In Dwarka, she will take part in the afternoon aarti and have darshan (holy visit) of Lord Krishna at the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple.

After completing her Dwarka visit, the President will fly to Jamnagar by helicopter and later board a flight to Ahmedabad.

In Ahmedabad, she will be the chief guest at the Gujarat Vidyapith convocation ceremony, scheduled for 5:00 p.m., where she is expected to address the graduating students. Following the event, she will depart for New Delhi, concluding her official Gujarat tour.

Ahead of the President’s visit, Gujarat Police and district administrations in Rajkot, Gir-Somnath, Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar, and Ahmedabad have made extensive arrangements.
