RPF 40th Raising Day to be Celebrated in Valsad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is all set to celebrate its 40th Raising Day on October 13, 2025, at the RPF Regional Training Centre in Valsad, Gujarat. The grand ceremony will be attended by Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, who will serve as the chief guest for the national-level event.
A Grand Celebration of Service and Security
According to officials, the event will witness the presence of several top dignitaries, including the Director General of RPF, senior officers from the Railway Board, and RPF representatives from across the country. The celebration will begin with an impressive parade inspection by Minister Vaishnaw, followed by his address to the gathering.
The ceremonial parade will feature various RPF contingents, including the Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF), women platoons, commando units, dog squads, the Segway platoon, and the RPF band. The parade will be followed by cultural performances and a Mallakhamb demonstration, showcasing the rich traditions and discipline of the force.
As part of the occasion, the minister will also honour officers and personnel who have rendered outstanding service in ensuring the safety and security of passengers and railway property.

Speaking ahead of the celebration, Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, highlighted that the RPF was recognized as an Armed Force of the Union in 1985, marking a significant milestone in the history of Indian Railways. The annual Raising Day is observed as a tribute to the bravery, dedication, and selfless service of RPF personnel. The force operates under the inspiring motto “Yasho Labhasva” (Attain Glory) and comprises nearly 75,000 personnel deployed across 18 zones of Indian Railways.

- Operation Nanhe Farishte – for rescuing and reuniting missing children.
