Surat News: 12-Year-Old Boy Jumps from 9th Floor in Udhna

A 12-year-old boy named Avnish Sushilbhai Tiwari, living in Prabhunagar Society, Udhna, took the extreme step by jumping from the ninth floor of Shubham Residency, located near his house. CCTV footage captured the student taking the lift to the terrace before the incident.

According to preliminary reports, Avnish, a student of class 7, was under pressure due to his ongoing exams. His parents had reportedly scolded him for not studying properly. Feeling hurt and emotionally disturbed, he decided to end his life. Avnish was the only son of his parents, and his sudden death has left the entire family and neighborhood in mourning.

Police sources confirmed that Avnish had previously left home after being scolded but had always returned after a few hours. Unfortunately, this time, the story ended in tragedy.

Second Tragedy: Elderly Woman Self-Immolates

In another shocking case, 67-year-old Bhanu Ben Bhavti Sailor from Bhandariwas near Hanuman Tekri in the Rander area set herself on fire after pouring kerosene. She had been suffering from paralysis for the past four years, which had affected half of her body.

Bhanu Ben lived with her husband, who is retired, and their son, a swimming trainer supporting the family. According to reports, she took this drastic step while at home. Despite being rushed to a private hospital and later shifted to SMIMER Hospital, she succumbed to her burn injuries during treatment.

Third Case: 28-Year-Old Woman Drinks Acid After Argument

The third incident occurred in Vrindavan Heights, Dindoli, where 28-year-old Aakriti Ajaykumar Jaiswal, originally from Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), ended her life by consuming acid.

Aakriti lived with her parents and brother. Her father works as a daily wage laborer. Known for having a short temper, Aakriti often argued with her family. On October 3, she had a heated dispute with her mother over guests visiting their home. Upset by the argument, she consumed acid and was rushed to the hospital, but doctors could not save her.

Police mentioned that Aakriti had attempted suicide twice before. Her death has left her parents devastated, as she was their only daughter.
