Mehsana (Gujarat): Ganpat University: The first-ever Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for North Gujarat began with great enthusiasm on October 9, 2025, at Ganpat University, Mehsana. The two-day event, held on October 9 and 10, aims to bring together business leaders, innovators, educators, and policymakers from across India and abroad to promote investment, innovation, and sustainable development in the region.

Before the official inauguration ceremony of VGRC, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister for Railways, Electronics & IT, and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated a grand Trade Show and Exhibition organized at the university campus.
The inauguration event was also graced by Finance Minister Kanubhai Patel, Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, and Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput, along with several senior officials.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw traveled from Ahmedabad to Mehsana by train to attend the event, symbolizing the government’s commitment to promoting connectivity and infrastructure in Gujarat. Mehsana MP Haribhai Patel also shared moments from the journey on social media.

17 Countries Participate; MoUs Worth Crores to Be Signed

The two-day conference is hosting industry and education leaders from 17 countries. Over the course of the event, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth crores of rupees are expected to be signed between the Government of Gujarat and global business entities.
Various seminars and panel discussions are also being organized, where experts and entrepreneurs will share insights on emerging trends in business, technology, renewable energy, and education.

Massive 18,000 sq. m Exhibition Showcases Innovation and Technology

The Trade Show, spread over a massive 18,000 square meters, has become a major attraction at the event. The exhibition features over 400 exhibitors from sectors such as agriculture, food processing, and renewable energy.
Leading Indian corporates including Torrent, Welspun, NHPC, NTPC, Suzlon, Nirma, INOX, Adani, Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid Corporation, ONGC, and Avada Energy are also showcasing their latest technologies, products, and innovations.

The exhibition reflects the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) and ‘Vocal for Local’, bringing together innovators, MSMEs, startups, investors, foreign buyers, and government bodies under one roof to explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Vendor Development Programs Promote Local Entrepreneurship

As part of the exhibition, several Vendor Development Programs (VDP) have been launched in association with institutions such as Dudhsagar Dairy, ONGC, Western Railway, and McCain Foods.
These programs aim to strengthen industrial linkages, promote local entrepreneurship, and encourage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to contribute to the regional economy.

The event celebrates the theme “Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi” — promoting self-reliance, rural innovation, and community-driven economic development. The conference at Ganpat University serves as a powerful platform for empowering regional industries, fostering global cooperation, and accelerating sustainable growth.

Presence of Top Dignitaries and Officials

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of several senior officials, including Principal Secretary (Industries) Mamta Verma, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Haidar, district collector S.K. Prajapati, and other senior government officers.
Prominent industrialists, business leaders, and investors from India and abroad also attended the event, expressing confidence in Gujarat’s growing industrial ecosystem.

Delegates from these countries are expected to sign MoUs with the Government of Gujarat, focusing on sectors like infrastructure, renewable energy, and technology innovation.

Distinguished guests attending the event include ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan, Air Force Group Captain and India’s first astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, along with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Notably, Padma Shri Ganpat Dada, President of Ganpat University, has been chosen as the Brand Ambassador for this first regional Vibrant Gujarat Conference — a moment of pride for Mehsana and North Gujarat.

35 International Industrialists Participate to Boost Trade and Investment

The conference has attracted 35 international business leaders from 17 countries, representing organizations such as the World Bank, Russian Trade Delegation, Indo-Canadian Business Chamber, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum.
Their participation aims to promote imports, exports, and bilateral trade partnerships, contributing to India’s vision of becoming a global manufacturing and innovation hub.
