Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit Concludes with ₹3.24 Lakh Crore Investment Deals

Mehsana, Gujarat:
The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit, held at Ganpat University in Mehsana, concluded successfully, marking another milestone in the state’s journey toward global industrial leadership. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced that a total of 1,212 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the two-day event, promising investments worth ₹3.24 lakh crore across 21 sectors.

Addressing the closing ceremony, the Chief Minister said that this year’s summit adopted a new approach to make the sessions accessible in multiple languages, ensuring greater participation from youth and entrepreneurs. “Our main goal was to bring more young minds to this platform of innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth,” he said.

30,000 Participants from 62 Countries Join the Summit

The regional summit witnessed a massive turnout, with over 30,000 participants from 62 countries attending the event. The gathering included global business leaders, policymakers, industry experts, startups, and students, making it one of the largest regional economic conferences in the state.

During his address, CM Patel highlighted that this edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit served as a bridge between Gujarat and global investors. “We saw over 50 seminars where participants from different sectors – from MSMEs to mega industries, from farmers to researchers – shared their insights and formed valuable partnerships,” he noted.

The summit also facilitated foreign trade worth approximately ₹500 crore, as multiple meetings between international delegates and local entrepreneurs were held to promote export opportunities.

21 Sectors Receive Major Investment Boost

According to official data, MoUs were signed across 21 diverse sectors including renewable energy, manufacturing, education, research, agriculture, and technology. The ₹3.24 lakh crore investment is expected to significantly boost the state’s GDP and open thousands of new employment opportunities.

Chief Minister Patel recalled the humble beginnings of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative in 2003, introduced by then Chief Minister and now Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It started during challenging times, but today the world recognizes Gujarat as a global business hub. Each summit has opened new doors for investment and employment,” Patel said.

‘Vocal for Local’ to ‘Local for Global’: Gujarat’s Vision in Action

Emphasizing Gujarat’s contribution to Prime Minister Modi’s vision of self-reliance, CM Patel stated, “Gujarat has truly implemented the ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Local for Global’ concepts. Our villages, towns, and cities are all playing a role in making the state vibrant and prosperous.”

He credited the success of the summit to the Prime Minister’s global vision and leadership, adding that the trust shown by international investors reflects India’s growing credibility on the world stage.

A New Chapter in North Gujarat’s Development

The Chief Minister called the regional summit a turning point for North Gujarat, stating that it would open new avenues for development. “This initiative has strengthened government-industry collaboration and will accelerate progress in key areas—from cleanliness to semiconductor manufacturing,” he added.

Patel expressed optimism that the objectives of the summit would soon be realized, transforming Gujarat’s regional economies into powerful contributors to India’s growth story.

MSME Conclave Highlights Grassroots Industrial Growth

Ahead of the main conference, the Regional MSME Conclave was inaugurated by Sandeep Sangle, Commissioner of MSME, Government of Gujarat. He recalled that the original idea of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was envisioned by Prime Minister Modi two decades ago, in 2003.

“The benefits of this initiative are now reaching every corner of Gujarat through regional conferences,” Sangle said. He emphasized that these efforts align with the national vision of Developed India @2047, promoting inclusive growth across rural and urban sectors alike.

Focus on Clean Energy: Seminar on Solar Power and Carbon Credits

One of the key highlights of the event was a special seminar titled “Decarbonizing the Economy: Harnessing Solar Energy and Earning Carbon Credits”, held at Ganpat University. Experts from industry, academia, and the environmental sector attended the session to discuss the transition toward sustainable energy.

The seminar focused on raising awareness about reducing carbon emissions through renewable energy sources—particularly solar power. Experts presented case studies and technical insights on how businesses and institutions can benefit from adopting solar energy while contributing to environmental preservation.

Knowledge Sharing and Youth Participation

Throughout the summit, over 50 sessions were organized covering topics like innovation, research, quality improvement, value addition, and entrepreneurship. Students, startups, small and medium enterprises, and large industries all participated enthusiastically, gaining valuable insights from experts and business leaders.

The Chief Minister praised the active involvement of youth and entrepreneurs, noting that their innovative mindset would play a key role in shaping Gujarat’s industrial future. “When government, industry, and citizens work together, success is inevitable,” Patel said.
