Bhuj, Gujarat: For the first time ever, Bhuj will proudly host the national-level BSF Raising Day celebrations. The grand event will be organized at the 176th Battalion on Mundra Road, marking 60 years of the Border Security Force’s service to the nation.
Every year, December 1 is celebrated as BSF Raising Day to honor the brave soldiers of India’s first line of defense — the Border Security Force — who protect the nation’s frontiers in every condition, from scorching heat to freezing cold and torrential rains.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Grace the Ceremony
According to official sources, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest at the main event scheduled for November 21, 2025. Preparations are in full swing across Bhuj, with local authorities and BSF personnel ensuring that the celebrations reflect both discipline and national pride.
This is the first time in 60 years that the BSF Raising Day will be celebrated in Bhuj, making it a landmark event for Gujarat and the entire country.
Women BSF Guards Perform Patriotic Band Show at Smritivan
As part of the pre-event awareness campaign, a special band performance was organized at Smritivan.
In this event, 28 women BSF personnel took center stage with an inspiring pipe band performance, delivering melodious tunes that echoed patriotism and unity.
Over 25 members of the all-women BSF band played soulful patriotic music, receiving standing ovations from visitors and locals. The audience saluted the women soldiers for their discipline, dedication, and musical tribute to the motherland.
